To what risks am I exposed to as a professional gamer?
Esports teams and sponsors have a lot of lawyers behind them, which are drafting contracts and other legal documentation in a way that is favorable to them. Very oftten can happen, that interests of them and players are in conflict. Consequently, in worst case scenario after signing contract, player can be trapped in a deal, which is not fair for him or her from the several perspectives: player is not entitled to fair payment, player is limited in signing deals with other sponsors, player is not allowed to manage properly own personal brand.
Why do I need an agent?
The role of the agent is to look after player's best interests when negotiating contract with the team or sponsor or when handling with player's image rights. An agent represents player, handle paperwork and looks after legal aspects of the player's esports professional career. In short, having an agent allows player to focus on gaming, business side is taken care by an agent.
How can I be sure that agent will be taking care about my best interests?
At Spike Esports Agency we represent only gamers. We are not representing teams or sponsors. In that way there can not be conflicts of interests between interests of gamers we represent and other stakeholders. In addition, we only get paid as a percentage of agreed deals between players and teams or sponsors, so it is also in our best interest to negotiate best possible deal for each player we represent.
In which cases should I approach your agency?
If you are an established esports player and would like to exit or renegotiate the existing deal or if you would like to sign new contract with additional sponsor, we can help you with that.
If I approach your agency, am I in any way commited to you?
No. In case we will be representing you in front of the team or sponsor, you as a player will have a last call if you would like to close the deal. We can not and will not force to you sign anything. And you are not required to pay us anything, except in case the deal is sucessfully negotiated.
Do I need to be a professional esports player to approach you?
Yes, we represent and we offer legal support services only to proffessional esports players or to an amateur players expecting to sign their firts professional contract.
Can you represent esports players from all over the world?
Yes, our scope of operations is not limited to specific countries. Our agency can represent you in front of the teams and sponsors from every country of the planet.
